Importance on innovation dwelt upon

Mangalore, July 02, 2014:  A Shama Rao Foundation Vice President A Srinivas Rao inaugurated Srinivas Institute of Management Studies inaugurated a one-day national conference recently on innovations and best practices in higher education institutions.

He stressed on the importance of innovation in teaching and learning practices and highlighted that higher education should concentrate on the practical aspects and train students in such a way that the growing industries in the country can get equpped personnel to work with them.

Prof Subrahmanya Kumar N, Prof R K Acharya and others were present. Around 70 research papers were presented by the participants in three technical sessions.
