’Golden Academy 2014’ cup shuttle from Oct 10

Mangalore, Oct 9,2014: At a press meet in Mangalore, Golden Shuttle Academy President Jnanesh Salian said that Police Commissioner R Hitendra will inaugurate the tournament on October 10. Golden Shuttle Academy, Mangalore, will organise Mahesh P U College Golden Shuttle Cup 2014, under the aegis of DK district Badminton Association at US Mallya Indoor Stadium, Lalbagh, on October 10, 11 and 12.  

The state open events are men’s singles, men’s doubles, mixed doubles, women’s singles, women’s doubles and veteran’s doubles. Veteran’s doubles are for those above 45 and men’s doubles for those above 35. The total cash prizes for the event is Rs 1,93,000.

Players from Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts may participate in the district level events, he said and added that the last date for receiving entries is October 7. Entries can be mailed to goldenshuttleacademy@yahoo.com
