KSRTC driver attacked protest erupts

Uppinangady ujire, Oct 11, 2014: The Uppinangady police have arrested four persons in connection with the assault on KSRTC bus driver, at Jodumarga in Kokkada on Friday. The arrested are Raghavendra, Raghuram, Ganesh and Shivanand. The KSRTC bus had hit the car in which the accused were travelling from Dharmasthala to Subrahamnya. Enraged over the incident, the passengers in the car assaulted the driver.

Protest  :   The employees of KSRTC depot at Dharmasthala staged a protest against alleged assault on KSRTC bus driver at Kokkada, on Friday. None of the KSRTC buses operated to various destinations from Dharmasthala till 11 am. The protest was withdrawn after the police promised action against the culprits.
