Harikatha Sapthaha from Oct 15

Mangalore, Oct 14, 2014: On the occasion of platinum jubilee of  the  consecration of Udupi Sri Pejavara Mutt seer Sri Vishweshatheertha and silver jubilee celebrations,  Sri Vishwaprasannatheertha, Sri Krishna Harikatha Sapthaha Samithi will organise the  15th annual Harikatha Sapthaha, at Sri Krishna Kalyana Mandira Mallikatte, Kadri in Mangalore,  October 15 to 21, between 5 pm and  8 pm.

Addressing a press conference, Samithi General Secretary Sudhakar Rao Pejavara said that on the inaugural day Shambhavi and Vaibhavi Kumble will recite ‘Syamanthokopakhyaana’ from 5.15 pm. Kalarathna Shamnaadiga Kumbale will present ‘Akshayapaatre’, at 6.15 pm. ‘Vaalimoksha’ (Oct 16), ‘Seeta Parithyaga’ (Oct 17), ‘Bhaktha Kanakadasa’ (Oct 18), ‘Bhoo Kailasa’ (Oct 19), ‘Satyavan Savitri’ (Oct 20) and ‘Sri Mantralaya Prabhugalu’ (Oct 21) will be presented by various artistes.

Harikatha Sapthaha Samithi President Prof M B Puranik said that harikatha will help create religious awareness among divotees..
