Two held on the charge of harassing woman

Mangalore, Oct 15, 2014: The Puttur Town police have arrested two persons for alleged sexual harassment of a 26-year-old woman in Kimminge village.

The police gave the names of the accused as Adam Kanya and Abdul Kunhi. The police said Hamza, a local resident and the two arrested persons allegedly tried to pull the 26-year-woman into an autorickshaw when she was going towards bus stop on Tuesday morning.

As she screamed for help, Hamza and the two accused went away in the autorickshaw. All the three later came to her house and threatened of killing her if she reported about the incident to the police. Based on the complaint by the woman, the police arrested Adam Kanya and Abdul Kunhi. They are searching for Hamza.

Killed

A 38-year-old labourer, Surendra, was killed after the motorcycle he was riding was hit by a tourist mini bus near a petrol bunk in Kadaba police station on Tuesday.
