Masjid windows damaged in stone-throwing

Mangaluru, Nov 07, 2014: Two windows of a masjid were damaged following stone-throwing in Thokur on the outskirts of the city on Wednesday night.

The Panambur police said that the incident occurred around 11 p.m. at the Badriya Jumma Masjid.

A woman reportedly saw two motorcycle-borne men riding away after allegedly throwing two stones at the west side of the masjid.

The two men could not be identified because they were wearing helmets.

The police said that this masjid was at an isolated place, which was about 4 km away from the Baikampady Industrial Estate.

Efforts are on to trace the culprits. B.S. Hussain, masjid administrator, has filed a complaint, the police said.
