More cold weather on the west coast

Mangaulu, Nov 29, 2014: The morning cold in the area seems to be lower than other recent years. The minimum temperature in the city dropped to 20.7 Deg C on November 28, Friday, recording sixth lowest temperature in the decade. This is almost two Deg C less than the minimum average recorded for the month of November. On November 18, the city recorded eight lowest at 21.9 Deg C.
The all-time lowest temperature recorded for Mangalore was 16.6 Deg C on November 19, 1974. The mean minimum for November from 1961, according to IMD has been 22.6 Deg C.
The lowest recorded in this decade was 17.5 Deg C on November 25, 2007, followed by 20 Deg C on November 20, 2004 and 20.3 Deg C on November 28 in 2003.
But the Maximum temperature was way above comfort level at 35.8 Deg C, four Deg C high than the normal average for this month.
The maximum temperatures have been way off this month since November 12 and have been hovering above the normal maximum making it uncomfortable during the day, particularly 10am to 4 pm.Change seems the order of the day.
