Udupi, Mar 14, 2015: A six year old student of class one suffered a minor injury when an autorickshaw carrying seven school students collided against a private bus from behind near City Municipal Council (CMC) office here on Friday.
According to the Udupi Traffic Police, the autorickshaw collided against a Mangalore-Udupi private bus from behind at the CMC Bus Stop. Both the bus and autorickshaw were going in the same direction. The bus had halted to let passengers to get down at the CMC Bus Stop at around 5 p.m.
As a result of the collision, Yuvaraj, a student who was in the autorickshaw, suffered a minor injury on his forehead and has been admitted to the Adarsha Hospital. The rest of the students suffered minor bruises. The autorickshaw driver was at fault, the police said.
