Mangaluru, April 03 , 2015 : A press note states, M Venkatesh, is appointed by Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, has taken charge as Director Refinery of MRPL (Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemcials Ltd). He replaces Vijay G Joshi, who is proceeding on retirement. Prior to this, Venkatesh was group general manager in-charge of Refinery at MRPL, Mangaluru.
M Venkatesh, is a chemical engineer from Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT) Karnataka, his career spans 27 years, from a trainee at the downstream behemoth of India, Indian Oil Corporation Ltd in 1988. In 1994, Venkatesh joined MRPL as a Deputy Manager in the technical services stream and played a key role in the construction and commissioning of the Phase-I of MRPL and later in Phase II of the refinery complex. The recently completed Rs 15,000 crore Phase III Upgradation and Expansion Project, that is propelling the next phase of growth for MRPL, is a fitting proof of Venkatesh’s talent and contribution.
