Mangaluru, June 9, 2015 :senior advocate U P Shivaram passed away at his residence on Court Road, Puttur, on June 8, morning, aged 80 years.
from Uluvaru family in Aranthodu village in Sullia, he began his career in Puttur in 1962. He had also contested for assembly elections from Janata Dal party and got a good number of votes. Shivaram was active till his last days. He had presented an argument in court on June 6, Saturday. Shivaram is survived by three sons and four daughters.
Union Minister D V Sadananda Gowda, Judges Nagraj, Basavraj, Adichunchanagiri Mangaluru branch mutt seer Dharmapalanatha Swamiji and other dignitaries paid their last respects. D V Sadananda Gowda recalled the guidance provided to him by U P Shivaram, not only during his law career, but also in his political life. Gowda said that he visited the residence of Shivaram, whenever he came to Puttur. He added that Shivaram had high professional ethics throughout his career and had worked for the underprivileged at all times.
