Man detained for misbehaviour at Mall

Mangaluru, July 16, 2015: Reports have are rife that a 21-year-old has been arrested for the alleged sexual harassment of a 21-year-old sales staff  in a super store in Fiza Mall  July 15.  Two persons were arrested later for allegedly assaulting the man.

According to the women police, Sarfaraz went to the mall and on the pretext of asking the price of an article, he allegedly tried to touch the sales representative.  He also allegedly sought her mobile number and also spoke unpleasantly with her. Dur to festive season and many ’Sale’ activities on,  there is heavy rush for shopping these days in Mangaluru.

Parents accuse private hospital in death of  boy

As per reports, a  six-year-old boy died while being brought in an ambulance from a private hospital in Ujire to the Government Wenlock Hospital July 15  night.  It is said the parents have accused the private hospital of negligence leading to the child’s death.

The Venoor police said that the boy had been admitted to the hospital in Ujire July 14 evening following fracture of a portion of the hand. Following operation, the hospital asked the boy’s parents to take the child to Wenlock Hospital as he had problem with the heart. The child died before reaching the Wenlock Hospital. The police said the boy’s father has filed a complaint accusing the doctors of the private hospital of negligence. An autopsy was being performed at the Wenlock Hospital, it is stated.
