Mangaluru, Sep 09, 2015: According to information, KSRTC - Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation will ply 1,000 spl buses on September 15 and 16 for the Gowri-Ganesha festival.
Special buses will be exclusively operated from Kempegowda Bus Station to Dhamasthala, Kukkesubramanya, Shivamogga, Hassan, Mangaluru, Kundapur, Sringeri, Horanadu, Davangere, Huballi, Dharwad, Belagavi, Vijayapura, Gokarna, Sirsi, Karwar, Raichur, Kalaburagi , Ballari, Koppal, Yadgir, Bidar, Tirupati and other places.
All special buses will be operated from Shanthinagar BMTC bus stand to Madurai, Kumbakonam, Trichy, Chennai, Coimbatore, Tirupati, Vijayawada, Hyderabad and other places in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh. Special buses will be operated from Vijayanagar, JP Nagar, Jayanagar 4th Block and 9th Block, Jalahalli Cross, Navarang(Rajajinagar), Malleswaram 18th Cross and Kengeri satellite town to Shivamogga, Davangere, Tirupati, Mangaluru, Kundapur, Sringeri, Horanadu, Kukke Subramanya Dharmasthala and other places based on the traffic potential.
Special buses for passengers, who have advance reservation, will be operated from Mysuru road satellite bus station to Hubballi, Dharwad, Belagavi, Vijayapura, Gokarna and other places in northwestern Karnataka.
Special buses for passengers who have advance reservation will be operated from Sri Basaveshwara Bus Station(Peenya) towards Kalaburagi, Ballari, Raichur, Hosapete, Koppal, Yadgir, Bidar and other places in northeastern parts of Karnataka. Buses with no advance reservation will be operated from Kempegowda Bus Station.
Advance reservation of tickets for the special and scheduled buses of KSRTC can be done through 35 counters in Mangaluru and other 230 computerised reservation counters of KSRTC located at other places in Karnataka. Book tickets online by logging on to www.ksrtc.in.
