Durontos to halt at Mangaluru Junction from Jan 2016

Mangaluru, Sep 14, 2015:  According to a media release from Konkan Railway Corporation,   pasengers of coastal Karnataka will be glad due to the Railway Ministry’s decision to convert the technical halts of Duronto trains into commercial halts. Two Duronto trains, passing through the Konkan network, will have commercial halts at Mangaluru Junction from January 2016.

Travellers  can now book reserved tickets to and from Mangaluru Junction and other commercial halts declared by the Railways.  While 12284 Hazrath Nizamuddin-Ernakulam Weekly Duronto Express leaving Nizamuddin would get commercial halts at technical halt stations from January 2, its pairing train, number 12283, would get the same from January 5.  according to a release from Konkan Railway Corporation.

Train no. 12284 leaves Nizamuddin on Saturdays at 9.35 pm and arrives at Mangaluru Junction at 8 am on Mondays. Train no. 12283 leaves Ernakulam on Tuesdays at 11.30 pm and arrives at Mangaluru Junction at 6.25 am on Wednesdays before leaving at 6.35 am to reach Nizamuddin at 8.40 pm on Thursdays.

Similarly, train no. 12223 Mumbai Lokamanya Tilak Terminus-Ernakulam Bi-Weekly Duronto Express would get commercial stoppages at technical halts from January 2 while its pairing train, number 12224, would get the same from January 3.

Train no. 12223 leaves Mumbai LTT on Tuesdays and Saturdays at 8.50 pm to reach Mangaluru Junction at 10.15 am the next day before leaving to Ernakulam at 10.35 am.

Train no. 12224 leaves Ernakulam on Sundays and Wednesdays at 11.30 pm to reach Mangaluru Junction at 4.25 am the next day before departing at 4.35 am to reach LTT at 11.55 pm the same day.
