Corporation Bank’s 3000th ATM to open Oct 19

Mangaluru, Oct 19, 2015 : City based Corporation Bank is to open its 3,000th ATM and Corp Excel branch with e-Lobby at N R Colony, Basavanagudi, Bengaluru  Oct 19,today. S R Bansal, chairman and managing director, Corporation Bank will dedicate these facilities. The e-Lobby has self-service automation kiosks which include cash deposit machine, cheque deposit machine, self-service passbook printer and an ATM and these machines are user-friendly.

The Bank has so far opened 165 e-lobbies across India and has received good feedback from the customers about the utility of these self- service terminals. In Karnataka, Corporation Bank has wide network of 510 branches, 827 ATMs and 46 e-Lobbies. Out of the above 160 branches, 344 ATMs and 25 e-Lobbies are in Bengaluru. Bansal will also inaugurate the bank’s forex hub at Malleswaram later in the day in the presence of senior bank officials.

Forex Hub at Bengaluru is being launched to streamline banks’s forex operations and enhance customer service. It will act as central processing unit for bank branches wherein forex transactions will be processed digitally with adherence to FEMA/ICC/RBI/bank’s policy guidelines. Forex HUB receives scanned documents from branches and executes the transaction in the system on real time basis. This will enable Bank to cater to needs of customers PAN India.

This will also enable bank for better compliance of regulatory aspects. To begin with Bengaluru Forex Hub will handle forex transactions across south India and cater to the needs of the customers. It is also proposed to setup two more Forex-Hub at Mumbai and Delhi in future to ensure smooth processing of forex related transactions. The bank has a wide network of over 10,049 centres across India, including 2365 branches, 2999 ATMs and 4685 branchless banking units.
