International Chef’s Day - Oct 20, marked

Manipal: According to a release by Manipal University Oct 20, every year the date is celebrated world over as International Chef’s Day.  Students of Welcomgroup Graduate School of Hotel Administration (WGSHA) and the Department of Culinary Arts celebrated International Chef’s Day.

Culinary professional Ramesh Babu Javvaji, Senior Executive-Kitchens of Adarsh Realty and Hotels Pvt Limited, Bengaluru, spoke about the values an aspiring chef must possess, about food honesty, menu truth and label truth. “Communication is the key,” he said, and better quality of food enabled healthier lifestyles for all.

The students took an oath to be committed, disciplined, impartial, environmentally aware and up to date with the industry’s expectations.
