Mangaluru, Oct 27, 2015: An official release said, water supply to parts of the city would be affected on October 28 following Mangaluru City Corporation proposing repair of a pipeline from Thumbe to Padil at Farangipet, where water was found to be leaking. water supply would be affected between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. at Shaktinagar, Kavoor, Bondel, Pachchanadi, Kudupu, Kulashekara, Maroli, Kadri, Yeyyadi, Bejai, Mary Hill, Attavara, Derebail and Akasha Bhavana areas.

The Deptartment of General Medicine, A. J. Institute of Medical Sciences, would conduct the annual inter-medical college Quiz Contest ‘Mediquiz – 2015’ exclusively for M.B B.S students on October 31 at the institute’s conference hall from 9 a.m. on medical subjects. The Union Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change has invited objections and suggestions on Kasturirangan Report on eco-sensitive zones from individuals as well as associations. The State government has already submitted its comments on the report to the centre and now the centre intends to hear directly from people, said an official release.
