Mangaluru, Oct 29, 2015 : Addressing media, Dr. Thomas J. Quadros, president of AICS, said the first annual conference of the AICS - Association of ICSE and CBSE Schools, on ‘Rethink the principalship: Shape the future’ would be held at the Bhuvana Jyothi Residential School at Shirthady in Dakshina Kannada district on October 30 and 31.
The objective of the conference is to provide required intellectual content and creative solutions to the present-day challenges in the fast changing scenario and times so as to do proper justice to the noble mission of providing quality education. Nearly 150 principals and senior faculty members from different schools of the State had registered for the conference. Rev. Fr. Denzil Lobo, Director of St. Aloysius Institute of Management and Technology, will deliver the keynote address.
Mathew K.G., Principal of Excel Public School, Mysuru; Joselyn Lobo, Dean, School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya, Mangaluru; Robert Clive G., Associate Professor, Rural Development, Crossland College, Brahmavar; Mathew C. Ninan, Principal, Little Rock Indian School, Brahmavar; Arindam Roy Chowdhury, Principal, Kalpavruksha Model School, Bailhongal; and R. Prem Kumar, Principal, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Gajanoor, Shivamogga; will present papers at the conference.
The valedictory address will be delivered by Gururaj Karajagi, Chairman and Managing Director of Academy of Creative Teaching, Bengaluru. The AICS, with the strength of 56 schools affiliated to ICSE and CBSE from Udupi and Dakshina Kannada districts, had united in pursuit of excellence in education, Dr. Quadros said.
