All religion Deepavali at Udupi on Nov. 11

Udupi, Nov 09, 2015: The Sauharda Samiti, Catholic Sabha and Mother of Sorrows Church would be organizing an All Religion Deepavali celebrations at Udupi  5 p.m. on November 11.

Addressing media , Royson Fernandes, Assistant Parish Priest at the Mother of Sorrows Church, Udupi said that the celebrations would be held within the Church compound on Kavi Muddana Road. The highlight of the celebrations would be 12-feet high sky lamp “Gopura Deepa” which would be constructed by social workers and the former municipal councillor Nityananda Volakadu.  Nearly 500 lamps could be lit inside this “Gopura Deepa”.
