National pharmacy week 2015, in Mangaluru - December 4-6

Mangaluru, Dec 4, 2015 : Karavali College of Pharmacy in collaboration with Fr Muller Medical College, Mangaluru will celebrate National Pharmacy week from December 4 to 6. National Pharmacy Week is being celebrated every year to create awareness among general public and pharmacy students as a social responsibility about role of pharmacist on public health.
S Ganesh Rao, founder and managing trustee of G R Education Trust will inaugurate the function at Fr Muller Medical College. Rev Fr Patrick Rodrigues, director of Fr Muller Medical College will preside over the function. After inaugural, Dr Padmaja Udaykumar, HOD of pharmacology will deliver a talk on the topic newer antibiotics and Dr Ramakrishna Pai, infection control officer, Fr Muller Medical College and Hospital on antibiotics abuse.
On December 5, all students of Karavali College of Pharmacy will participate in a rally to spread awareness on responsible use of antibiotics saves lives. Ganesh Rao will inaugurate the rally. U T Ifthikar Ali, senate member, RGUHS, Bengaluru will be the chief guest. The rally from Jyothi Circle to Nehru Maidan will take place. All students of BPharma, Pharm D and M Pharma will participate in this rally.
As part of the celebrations of national pharmacy week 2015, following competitions will be conducted for students on December 6. Pharma quiz, collage making, essay writing, oral presentation, rangoli and variety show.
