Udupi, Dec 21, 2015: Brahmavar-based Crossland College is offering free training with job assistance for unemployed youth under the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY).

In a press note,  S.K. Samuel, principal of the college, said that DDU-GKY is the skill and placement initiative of the Union Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD). The course offered is Domestic Data Entry Operator, which covers basic computer skills, basic command over English language, and soft skills.

The duration of the course is three months and the intake is limited to 35 students. Those interested in joining have to produce copies of their SSLC certificate, below the poverty line ration card, Adhaar card, SSLC/PUC Transfer Certificate, six passport size photos and copy of bank passbook with photo (Canara Bank). Anyone between 18 and 35 years is eligible. Certificates will be issued at the end of the training.
