Liquor from Goa seized in Udupi

Udupi, Dec 22, 2015:  Excise department investigators have seized 14.50 litres of Goan liquor that was being transported illegally in a sports utility vehicle at Brahmavar-Heruru Cross along National Highway in Udupi district on Dec 20, Sunday. Department officials led by deputy superintendent of excise Vinod Kumar nabbed Raghavendra alias Narasimha, 26, resident of Kattingeri, Moodubelle in Udupi district.

Sleuths also seized a mobile phone from him. The total value of contraband and other materials seized is Rs 13.50-lakh. Suresh Kumar, excise sub-inspector has registered a case and is carrying out further investigation.
