Paryaya procession to include Tableaux, folk teams, cultural troupes.

Udupi, Jan 14, 2016: More than 10,  tableaux, 12 cultural troupes from other states and 25 folk teams from the State will participate in the Paryaya festival procession, which begins from Jodu Katte at 2.30 a.m. on January 18.

Addressing media  on Jan 13,  Wednesday, D. Veerendra Heggade, Dharmadhikari of Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala, and president of Paryaya Reception Committee, said that the 10 tableaux which will participate in the procession are: Radhakrishna in Brindavan, Gitopadesha and Vishwarupa, Nada Brahma – Pandharpur Vittala, Kanchana Brahma – Tirupati Venkataramana, Anna Brahma – Udupi Sri Krishna, Vasudeva Krishna, Kanva Tirtha – Madhwacharya teaching seers of ‘Ashta Mutts,’ Sri Krishna in Gopichandana, Vadiraja Tirtha – Hayagreeva Avatara, and Sheshashayana Mahavishnu.

VVIP guests

A large number of VVIPs are expected to participate in the Paryaya festival durbar function to be held at Ananda Tirtha Mantapa at Rajangana parking space at 6.20 a.m. on January 18.
