Absconder in fake currency note case held at Vamanjoor

Mangaluru, April 9, 2016: As per reports, an accused who was absconding in connection with fake currency notes case has been arrested by the Crime Branch sleuths.   M Sharif (48) from Krishnapura in Surathkal is the arrested.


He was absconding over the last several years. He was arrested in the fake currency note racket bust in 2002 in Hosadurga police station limits. From 2008 he was absconding and also failed to attend the court. Hence, police had launched a manhunt for the accused. He used to change SIM cards and also stayed in various parts of Karnataka with fake names like Aron, Muneer etc.

Based on credible information he was arrested near Vamanjoor by the CCB sleuths.
