Tulu movie song in Top list

Mangaluru, May 11, 2016: A Tulu song ‘Daye Saipa’ from the recently released Tulu movie Rambarooti has been trending on Apple iTunes.  It is reportedly ranked 34 among iTunes’ top 200 Regional Indian chart, according to a press release by Muzik247, the official music label of the film.  Lohit Chandran, Assistant Manager (Public Relations), Muzik247, said that it was one of the six songs in the film released on April 1.

The song has been sung by Loy Valentine Saldanha, who was also the music director of the film.

It has been downloaded by many iPhone users in the last few days. This was for the first time that a Tulu song has featured in iTunes top 200 Regional chart, he said.

The film directed by Prajwal Kumar Attavar had video jockey Vineeth and Chirashri Anchan in the lead roles. Among the other actors in the film were Shruthi Kotyan, Sandesh Shetty Saanu, Shanil Guru and Shabharish Kabbinale.

Loy Valentine Saldanha composed all the six songs, while background music was by Sunaad Goutham. Prasad Kumar was the cinematographer.
