More bikes, scooters for hire in Mangaluru, Udupi

Mangaluru, June 1, 2016: The Royal Brothers, who started bike rentals in Mangaluru a few months ago, has added more bikes and scooters to their fleet.Briefing media, Royal Brothers Co-Founder Abhishek said their start-up company has added 10 more scooters and five Royal Enfield motorcycles to the existing fleet in Mangaluru, thus totalling to 50 two-wheelers in the coastal region.

He also said two more persons --- Pratheek Kamath and Madan Shenoy --- have obtained franchise in Mangaluru and Manipal respectively. Accordingly, those interested may avail bikes or scooters from Jyothi Circle (in Mangaluru), Hotel Mathura (in Udupi) and Tiger Circle (in Manipal), he added.

Bookings may be made online by visiting the website www.royalbrothers.in after creating a user profile by giving details of driver’s licence and ID proof.

To a query on whether the bikes can be picked up at a particular point (say in Mangaluru) and dropped in other point (Udupi), Abhishek said that as of now, that facility is not available in the coastal region. To another query, he said the bikes may be taken for hours, days or even a month. While scooters are charged Rs 12 per hour (Rs 16 at weekends), bikes are charged Rs 32 per hour. He also said that roadside assistance will be provided 24/7.
