Malpe beach to be cleaned by students

Udupi, June 04, 2016: As per reports, Silas International School is set to organise a beach cleaning campaign on the Malpe beach to mark the Environment Day here on June 6.

A media note issued here on June 3, Friday said that students of Classes 9 and 10 of the school would participate in the campaign. The theme is “Enjoy the sand and the sparkling sea; put trash where it’s supposed to be!” This was aimed at helping children understand the importance of cleanliness and keeping environment safe. The principal and teachers will accompany the students to the beach at 9.30 a.m. on Monday,June 6. They will clean the beach by picking up trash. The Malpe Beach Development Committee will organise a programme on cleanliness too.
