VKSSF to award scholarships for 2016

June 14, 2016: VKSSF,  Vishwa Konkani Student Scholarship Fund set up by World Konkani Centre has invited applications for merit-cum-means scholarships 2016 from candidates with Konkani as mother tongue, seeking professional education in engineering and MBBS.

Mother tongue certificate should to be provided while applying. Candidates who are seeking admission to first year engineering or MBBS course in 2016 can apply. Candidates whose family income is less than Rs 4.50 lakh per annum and who have scored above 70% in SSLC and in core subjects in PUC and also secured a ranking of 20,000 and below in the CET may apply.

References from the family doctor and CA should be provided with regard to family income while applying for the scholarship. The student should sponsor two students on completion of studies and after securing employment and contribute 20 days in 2016-17 to community service.   Most deserving candidates will be selected on basis of verifications by independent panelists.

Each selected candidate will be awarded scholarship of Rs 30,000 and Rs 40,000 for engineering and MBBS aspirants respectively. Candidates fulfilling the above criteria may apply for the scholarships 2016 on website: www.vishwakonkani.org. Application module will be opened for applying from June 10 and will be active only till the last date for application, which is July 10.

Applications received in hardcopy will not be processed for Vishwa Konkani Student Scholarships 2016. Candidates may login to the website for detailed instructions on preparation for the application and terms and conditions of scholarship programme.
