CM in DK district-level video conference soon

Mangaluru, July 09, 2016: A media report indicates that CM, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will shortly hold a district-level video conference to address issues of petitioners in DK.

Stating this at a meeting July 8,  Friday DK DC  Adoor.B. Ibrahim, said that the Chief Minister has said that henceforth his office would re-direct all petitions received at the Bengaluru office to the respective departments in the districts.  The departments concerned would have to take action on such petitions.

He would hold the video conference with petitioners and officials concerned to know about the action taken on the petitions. With this, petitioners need not go to Bengaluru seeking his intervention.

DK DC  Ibrahim said that a recent two-day conference of Regional Commissioners, Deputy Commissioners and Chief Executive Officers of zilla panchayats, presided over by the Chief Minister, has decided that the departments should respond to articles in media, both print and visual, by issuing necessary clarifications.

Hence, all departments in Dakshina Kannada should respond to issues such as problems relating to roads, buildings or any other government service raised in the media.

Anganwadi sites :  Sundara Poojary, Deputy Director, Department of Women and Child Welfare, told the meeting that the department required 230 sites for building anganwadis.  Of them, 174 sites are required in urban areas and 56 in rural areas, the officer added.
