Academic activities of students disturbed by electronic gadgets

Bantwal , July 14, 2016 : Addressing the students after inaugurating the academic activities of the first year diploma students of P A Polytechnic (PAPT) in Mangaluru, SVS College Bantwal former Professor and Botany HOD Anantha Padmanabha Rao highlighted the importance of ethics in the life of a student.

Prof Rao referred to a couple of examples on how modern day gadgets are ruining the academic activities of students. “There was a time when owning a pager was considered great, but today a number of kids are playing with tabs,” he said.


Presiding over the programme, P A Polytechnic Principal Prof K P Soofie advised the students to make best use of the excellent facilities provided by the institute.

The Principal informed that more than 500 students have enrolled for various courses this year with highest number of students opting for mechanical and civil courses.

PAPT Director of Administration K M Haneef and Vice Principal Dr Rameez were present among others.
