Mangaluru, July 18,2016: Reports received say that a man about 30 years,  from Dobbspet, off Nelamangala, near Bengaluru, was washed away in the swollen Kumaradhara at Kukke Subrahmanya on July 17, Sunday afternoon.

As per the police, D.R. Venkatesh, son of late Rajanna, had been to Kukke Subrahmanya with a few of his relatives to have the darshan of Lord Subrahmanya. Before going to the temple, the group reportedly went for a holy dip at the Kumaradhara bathing ghat.     Venkatesh was caught in the currents and washed away. He is yet to be traced, the police said.

Motorcycle rider dies : Lakshman Gowda, a driver with KSRTC, died after the motorcycle he was riding skidded and fell on the road near Udraje in Belthangady taluk on  July 17, Sunday morning.

Complainant Kushalappa Gowda said that he saw the deceased riding his motorcycle and Lakshman Gowda applied the brakes to avoid hitting a cow and in the process, the motorcycle skidded.
