Mangaluru, Aug 3 2016: It is announced that for the first time, two full-length dedicated Tulu songs will be introduced in a Kannada film, along with the Kannada version. The unique experiment is being done in ’Looti’.
Addressing media producer Niranjan N M said ’Looti’ is a thriller film and predominantly an entertainer.
He said the story is about three friends who get involved in a bank robbery and the related twists and turns. Actress Isha Koppikar, who is in the lead role, has played the role of a strict police officer. Ganesh, Dilip Raj, Dhruva, Gauthami, Shwetha Pandith, Robo Ganesh, Ramesh Babu, Dharma, B Jayashree, Sadhu Kokila, Sandria D’Souza and others are in the cast. The scenes are shot in Bengaluru, Hosuru, Devarayanadurga and Hyderabad. The budget of the film is Rs 3.5 crore. It is set to be released in the next 35-40 days, he said.
The audio of the film has been released in Bengaluru. The film has totally six songs. Among them, ’Khushi Va Khushi’ and ’Koditelika’ are Tulu songs which will be released in Tulunadu.
The film is directed by Girish Kamplapur, Dharma Vish has composed the music and V Manohar has written the lyrics. Ganga Rajendran has handled camera work.
Music director Dharma Vish said that Looti is his second film after Rathavara. The idea of Introducing Tulu songs in Kannada film came to him by his friends, he said and that the craze of Tulu films could be seen in Bengaluru too. Usha Uttup, Alisha Syed, Avinash Bhatti, Supriya Lohit, Nakul Abhayankar, Sangeetha Rajiv, Ramanujam and Malavalli Nagendra have lent their voices to the songs, he added. Director Girish Kamplapur and Lyricist V Manohar were present.
