Mangaluru, Aug 5, 2016: it is reported a two-day police duty meet for personnel of western range of Karnataka State Police got underway at Infosys campus at Mudipu near Mangaluru on Aug 4, Thursday. The duty meets are primarily organized to improve efficiency in police functioning and inculcate sense of professionalism and quality in policing. The range level police duty meets will culminate in a grand state level duty meet where winners from the range level compete for the state level laurels.
Contestants from four districts of Western Range comprising Uttara Kannada, Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Chikkamagaluru are competing in forensic science written test, test on crime investigation, criminal laws, rules and procedures and court judgements, handling, lifting and packing of articles, finger print test, medical legal oral test, crime scene photography test, police portrait test, and observation test. In all, 61 police personnel are participating in the meet.
