Kudupu families practice abstinence during Nag Panchami

Aug 09, 2016: In a cordial gesture of solidarity with their Hindu brethren, irrespective of any religion, families who stay close to Shree Ananthapadmanabha Temple in Kudupu abstain from preparing or eating non-vegetarian food at home on the occasion of Naga Panchami.

In the vicinity of the century-old temple, equal number of Christians and Hindus live. Every year , they voluntarily abstain from consuming or cooking meat or fish. This year too on Sunday Aug 7, this meaningful and harmonious practice was followed in all goodness here.
