The rally, which will be flagged off at Forum Fiza Mall, will do a circuit around the city driving through KS Rao Road, MG Road, Nanthoor before circling back via Falnir. At the helm of the rally will be a Tata Nano, the car that the NanoMADs are using to participate in the Mongol Rally.

At dedicated pit stops along the way, volunteers of the Make A Difference Mangalore chapter will perform street plays to educate people on the issues faced by millions of children-at-risk across India.

Manikya Das from Make A Difference, Mangaluru Chapter said the event will come to a close at the Forum Fiza Mall where it will be capped off with a mini bake sale, where delicious pastries prepared specially for the event by Mariam Mohiudeen’s Baker’s Treat will be sold. Families can also entertain themselves at a photo booth, posing with the NanoMADs’ car.

They also promise a surprise for all those gathered at the mall. All funds raised by the team will go towards the support of MAD’s child centric projects.

The Mongol Rally is a gruelling pan-European rally where teams from all over the world risk their lives to raise funds for a charity they would like to support. The two month rally stretches across 18,000km from United Kingdom to Mongolia, passing through 13 countries and crossing two continents — Europe and Asia. NanoMADs, comprising of Sunaina Pamudurthy, a MAD alumni, Bhairav Kuttaiah and Binoy John is the first all Indian Team participating in the rally.
