Drug peddler passing off as IT officer caught in the act

Puttur, Oct 13, 2016: It is reported that a drug peddler who was found moving about suspiciously  in Puttur town posing as income tax officer during  Navarathri was arrested by the police.  He was involved in a case pertaining to the sale of ganja, at Mukrampady in Puttur. The arrested is Vinay alias Vinay Kumar (33), a resident of Tarigudde.

He was also part of a gang who were attempting to sell ganja in an autorickshaw. The police on September 11 had arrested his associates Taranath Poojary and Abdul Hameed. Vinay, the other accused, was absconding following the incident.
