Forbid fete on Black Day’

Mangaluru, Dec 05, 2016: Members of Mangalore Central Committee submitted a memorandum to city police commissioner M Chandra Sekhar demanding action against groups celebrating vijayotsava in the city to commemorate the demolition of Babri Masjid on December 6. Committee president Ali Hassan and convener Abdul Azeez urged police to prevent any victory celebrations of Babri Masjid demolition in the name of religious rituals.

Committee members stated in a memorandum, "While one section of the society celebrates the demolition of Babri Masjid, another community observes Black Day on Today Monday. Such victory celebrations breach communal harmony and lead to divide in the society."
