Illegal transport of firewood, lorries seized

Mangaluru, Dec 05, 2016: Reports confirm that local forest officials seized two lorries illegally transporting firewood to fishmeal factory near Mukka. They have also seized two vehicles and wood worth Rs 6 lakh.  According to Forest Vigilance Squad officials, two lorries were plying from Karkala to Mukka. When the squad attempted to intercept them, the vehicles did not stop. After a brief chase, the officials managed to stop and seize the vehicle.
