Bus rams auto, One dead, six injured

Dec 07, 2016: Reports state that a person was killed while six others suffered injuries after a a private bus rammed into and an auto near Pakshikere. 

The deceased was identified as Sadiq (35). Though he was rushed to a hospital, he succumbed. The injured were Rita (32), her daughter Disha (2), Umavathi (37), her son Vaibhav (9); they were travelling by the auto and Kasturi Poojary (34) and Renuka (28) were in the bus. They were admitted to a private hospital.

The occupants in the auto were on their way to a temple when the bus in a bid to overtake another vehicle collided into the oncoming auto.  A case was registered at Surathkal.
