Wrestling championship at Kadri on December 17, 18

Mangaluru, Dec 16, 2016: It is reported that Dakshina Kannada District Amateur Wrestling Association, Mangaluru and MCC, Mangaluru City Corporation will organise the 42nd Wrestling Championship for the titles ’Tulunada Kesari’, ’Tulunada Kumara’, ’Master Shivaji’ and ’Mayor Cup 2016’ at Kadri sports grounds on December 17 and 18.

Association honorary president M Sureshchandra Shetty said for the first time a wrestling tournament has been organised for children of DK.

The championship will be inaugurated at 5 pm on December 17 and the valedictory programme will be held at 6 pm on December 18.

The body weight check up for selection will be done at Srinivasa Mallya indoor stadium from 3 pm to 6 pm on December 16. The participants are required to bring documents for age proof. Students who wish to take part must bring proof of study from their respective schools to the check up.

The competitions will be held in 40, 45, 50, 55, 66, 84 and above 84-kg
