"Taila Samagama" meet set for on Jan 7, 8 in city

Mangaluru, Jan 6, 2017: Reports state that KSFPD, Karnataka State Federation of Petroleum Dealers, Bengaluru, will organise ’Taila Samagama’, a conference, at Hotel Moti Mahal in Falnir, Mangaluru on January 7 and 8 Sat & sunday,  to discuss various challenges faced by petroleum dealers. Federation general secretary K Vishwas Shenoy said the inaugural function will be held at 5 pm on January 7. Food and Civil Supplies Minister U T Khader will inaugurate the programme.

DK District In-charge Minister B Ramanath Rai will be the chief guest and M P Nalin Kumar Kateel will preside over the programme, he said.  All India Petroleum Dealers’ Association, New Delhi, secretary Sanjay Lath will be felicitated on the occasion.

Programmes :

Jan 7 - A session on current challenges of petroleum dealers and possible solutions will be held at 7 pm, wherein Ajay Bansal will deliver a talk.  Cultural programmes and a get together will follow.

On January 8, IOCL Dealer Karnataka S Kamal Kumar will speak on ’Striking a Balance between the Personal and Professional Life’ at 9 am.

Talks will also be delivered by Sanjay Lath and Petroleum Dealers’ Association, Rajasthan, president Sunit Bagai. A discussion will be held between the Petroleum federations and the dealers between 11.30 am and 12.30 pm.

The valedictory programme will be held at 12.30 pm.  Legislative Council Chairperson D H Shankaramurthy will deliver the valedictory address.

MP Shobha Karandlaje will launch the Karnataka State Federation of Petroleum Dealers’ website. Udupi District In-charge Minister Pramod Madhwaraj will be the chief guest and Karnataka State Petroleum Dealers’ Federation President H S Manjappa will preside over the programme.

Responding to a query, Shenoy said after the demonetisation of high-value notes, the petroleum dealers have been facing problems such as shortage of Point of Sale (PoS) machines, management problems with the usage of mobile phone wallets for payments, additional burden due to the maintainability of the toilets at the petrol bunks and security issues related to the usage of toilets by general public as per government regulations, issue of man power and others.
