National convention of CA students from Jan. 13

Udupi, Jan 7,2017: The Udupi branches of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and Southern India Chartered Accountants Students Association (SICASA) will organise a national convention for CA students titled ‘Jnana Sangam’ at the Town Hall on January 13 and 14.

Addressing presspersons on Thursday, Ganesh B. Kanchan, chairman of the Udupi branch of ICAI and convention coordinator, said about 1,000 CA students from across the country were expected to participate.

Babu Abraham Kallivayalil, chairman of board of studies, ICAI; and Babu K. Thevar, chairman of SICSA of Southern India Regional Council of ICAI, will take part in the interaction programme and open house at 9.30 a.m. Minister of State for Fisheries, Youth Services and Sports Pramod Madhwaraj and ICAI president M. Devaraja Reddy will be the chief guests at the inaugural session at 12 noon on January 13. Narrottam Mishra, Principal Commissioner of Income Tax, Mangaluru, will be the chief guest at the valedictory at 4.30 p.m. on January 14.
