Minority scholarships help-desk at Jeppu inaugurated

July 05, 2017: According to a media release, Bishop of Mangaluru Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza inaugurated the minority scholarships help-desk July 3 Monday. The help-desk has been initiated by YCS/YSM Mangaluru diocese in collaboration with Spandana Trust at Infant Mary Convent campus, Jeppu in city.

After prayers and lighting of the lamp and inauguration by opening the scholarship website of the government. The Bishop in his address appreciated the initiative and gave a call to help the youngsters for a better society.

Fr Nelson Almeida, parish priest of Jeppu, Riyaz, the CEO of Talent Research Foundation, several nuns from Spandana Trust of the Sisters of Charity Hermon Roche Cascia , Loy Roche Urwa, the YCS coordinators Mervin Vas and Mervin Pais, YCS Diocesan animator Prajwal Sequeira Derebail were present.

Fr Rupesh Madtha, the Director, YCS/YSM Mangaluru welcomed. Victor Vas Kulshekar, the manager of Spandana Trust compered the programme and also thanked. The helpdesk has received assistance from Alphonse Crasta, CompuNet Systems, Kodialbail.

The Help Desk serves the purpose of free uploading of scholarship applications for students preferably PUC and above. The volunteers will help the Students from 9.30 am to 4.30pm on all seven days of the week till August 31 at the venue – Infant Mary Convent campus Jeppu, Mangaluru.

Students need to bring the following documents:vvAdhar Card/Voter ID, Fee Receipt from the College, Bank passbook copy of the student, Income/ Caste Certificate, previous marks card, 2 photographs.
