‘Vision 2025’ meet at DK DC office, Oct 3, Tuesday

Oct 02, 2017: DK  district administration has organised a workshop to gather inputs from people representing a cross-section of society on the State government’s proposed ‘Vision 2025’  (Nava Karnataka 2025) at the DK Deputy Commissioner’s office on October 3,  Tuesday (tomorrow).

Inputs from citizens, personalities, experts, religious leaders, students and the public would be summarised to prepare the ‘Vision 2025’ document for the development of the State in the next seven years. Chaired by Tushar Giri Nath, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister. The meet will discuss about the preparation of a Vision 2025 for the comprehensive development of Dakshina Kannada district based on the opinions of all stakeholders.

To be finalised by December, the document will be the guiding principle in future development activities, an official release here stated.  The development of region with special emphasis on its culture and topography. The vision document will be prepared with 13 fileds including agriculture, infrastructure, job creation, industry, rural development, social justice, urban development, education, health, law and order, information technology, services and administration as its foundation. The district administration has set up committees for each field.  Tushar Giri Nath will inaugurate the meeting at 10.30am on October 3.

Citizens may attend the workshop that will begin at 10.30 a.m. or send in their views to the office of the DK Deputy Commissioner.
