MLC Ivan hosts Sauharda Christmas -2017

Mangaluru : A Sauharda  Christmas-2017 celebration was held at the Kankanady market ground under the leadership of MLC and Chief Whip of State Legislative Council Ivan D’Souza and in the presence of dignitaries from different faiths.

Anantha Padmanabha Asranna, Hereditary Priest of Kateel Sri Durgaparameshwari Temple blessed the occasion. Ganesh Rao S, Chairman of Karavali Group of Colleges presided over the function and appreciated the good works done by Ivan D’Souza in promoting communal amity through such  programmes.

MLA Moidin Bava, former minister B A Moidin, Mayor Kavitha Sanil, Deputy Mayor Rajaneesh Kapikad, DCC Chief Harish Kumar and several corporators were present.

Prizes were awarded to the winners of the carol, star, Santa Claus and cake  contests conducted as part of the celebrations.

Tulu comedy play ’Telikeda Thammana ’ was presented on the occasion by Harini Kalavidaru.
