New swimming pool for Udupi

Udupi, Mar 24: Goolihatti Shekhar, the state minister for youth and sports, inaugurated the Veera Murthi Gymnasium at Thendanidiyur near Udupi and said that the state government has decided to build a modern, well-equipped swimming pool in Udupi. 

The local MLAs have been demanding the construction of a swimming pool for a long time, said Goolihatti, adding that the government will release a sum of Rs 4 crore through the Department of Youth and Sports for the swimming pool within the next 30 days.
