Mangaluru, Jan 1, 2024: SecureMyScholarship.com, an edtech platform which is a UAE based start-up aims at connecting students with scholarships from universities across the globe. The CEO and Co-Founder of this unique platform is 27 year old Craig Fernandes. Noteworthy is the fact that Craig, an NRI based in Dubai has his roots in Mangaluru.

While Craig’s mother is from Bendore, his great grand uncle Victor Rosario Fernandes had served as Bishop of Mangalore Diocese from 1930 to 1950.

Hailing from a middle class family, Craig realizes how important is scholarships for children hailing from such families. True to the vision of the start-up valued at 6 million dollars, it has so far succeeded in getting 7.3 million dollar worth scholarships to hundreds of students. Craig inspires and motivates youngsters through his talks at various educational institutions in the UAE and elsewhere.

His first start-up Lock&Stock, was named Disruption of the Year at Gulf Capital Awards 2020. He has been featured in Forbes 30 under 30 2023 edition and has won accolades like Future Star award winner at Arabian Business awards in 2019 and Young CEO of the Year at CEO Excellence Awards in 2021.
