Mangaluru, Dec 10, 2020: Legal profession is no doubt a very challenging one.  Brilliant arguments coupled with intellect  as well as the genuine concern to deliver justice to one’s clients  contribute a great deal in success in this field. M. K. Vijaykumar from Karkala is an outstanding and distinguished lawyer whose  achievements  in a span of five decades have won him the coveted state level Rajyotsava Award.

A cheerful personality, Vijay Kumar has great pride  in the fact  as many as 55  lawyers mentored by him are serving  across the nation. More importantly, he points out that  the present Supreme Court Judge Justice Abdul Nazeer too was mentored by him and considers this as a matter of immense pride.

Vijay Kumar had his early  education  in his home district and  later moved to Bengaluru where he did his B.SC and  graduated in law from the Government Law College in Bengaluru.

He returned to  his home district in 1967  and pursued the legal profession under the then renowned civil lawyer Manjayya Hegde and later after two years began practising independently.

Today he is an immensely happy and contented man and looking back says he has  given his best to his profession.
