In its music we remake so often, in the fashion of chokers sand dungrees that we keep revisiting, that decade will linger for a few more years.

Even the actresses of that era remain to be fan-favorites, despite having relinquished the silver screen years ago. Here are some of your favorite actresses from 90s Bollywood who are still ruling headlines.

Karisma Kapoor

Karisma distanced herself from acting after marriage in 2003. Though she tried a comeback after her separation, it was a little too late for her to reclaim her erstwhile cinematic glory.

 

But the gorgeous mother of two keeps the paps on their toes 24*7. She makes it a point to mark her attendance at almost all red carpet events and filmy parties. When not partying, she goes on vacations with sister Bebo, Sail Ali Khan and li’l Taimur. She may not be in the movies, but is still relevant in the tabloids.

Sushmita Sen

Sushmita quit acting right after adopting her younger daughter Alisa in 2010. It has been 10 years since she has been away from the silver screen, but she manages to stay in headlines for reasons aplenty.

 

Be it her crazy mind-boggling work out sessions at the gym or her rocking romance with the handsome model Rohman Shawl, this diva always finds a way to stay in news.

Pooja Bhatt

Much like half-sister Aalia Bhatt, Pooja made an early entry in the industry. However, she was not as lucky as Aalia when it came to Box Office collections and her acting career was wrapped up by the late nineties and she then ventured towards film-making.

This mast-mast actress had a gradual exit from the cinemas after tying the knot with distributor, Anil Thadani in the early 2000s.

After staying away from the shutterbuck for an extended period of time following her marriage, like several other prominent names of her generation, Sonali Bendre returned to public life as a judge of reality television.

But it was after her being diagnosed with cancer that she became relatable to hundreds of fans who have gone through the struggle and well wishes poured in for her speedy recovery.

Twinkle Khanna
