August 22, 2022: Allu Arjun is one of the biggest superstars in India. The Telugu actor was recently in New York, where he represented India at one of the most well-known annual events organised by the Indian diaspora in the US - the India Day parade. He also met the New York Mayor Eric Adams there, and taught him his Pushpa hand brush signature move. Allu shared pictures with the Mayor on his Instagram handle along with a heartfelt note.
Allu Arjun shared photos of his meet-and-greet with the Mayor of New York Eric Adams. Sharing the photos, the actor wrote, "It was a pleasure meeting the Mayor of New York City . Very Sportive Gentleman. Thank You for the Honours Mr. Eric Adams . Thaggede Le ! @ericadamsfornyc @nycmayorsoffice (sic)." In the photos, Allu is seen looking dapper in a black suit. What caught our eye is his pocket square which is tricolour. In the second photo, Allu and Eric are seen striking the famous Pushpa’s hand brush to the chin pose.

After the massive success of Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna’s Pushpa: The Rise, the makers have finally dropped an update about the film’s second installment. Pushpa 2’s shoot will start with a pooja ceremony on August 22. Titled Pushpa: The Rule, the film’s shoot was previously put on hold amid Telugu producers’ strike.
