New Delhi, Aug 11: Rohit Shetty directed Chennai Express starring the superstar, Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone has smashed all the previous Box Office records and created history by minting Rs. 67.92cr over the span of 3 days.
The Shahrukh Khan starrer managed to break the 4 year old record of 3 Idiots which collected Rs 2.75 crore a day before its actual release on 25th December 2009.
Shah Rukh Khan’s film ‘Chennai Express’ was released on Friday, the day when Muslims celebrated Eid. Meanwhile, it may also be recalled that Eid, for the past decade, has been dominated by Salman Khan at the box office. But Chennai Express has also broken Salman’s Ek Tha Tiger’s opening day record
Chennai Express has recorded highest ever 2nd day collections surpassing RaOne (23 cr), collection so far -- Paid Previews - 6.75 cr, Fri- 33.12 cr, Sat- 28.05 cr, Total- 67.92cr.
